What Employers Are Saying

Partnership for 21st Century Skills issued a report that summarized the findings from a survey of 400 employers.

The most important skills cited by respondents include:

- Professionalism/Work Ethic

- Oral and Written Communications

- Teamwork/Collaboration

- Critical Thinking/Problem Solving

The study also revealed the following:

80.9% of employers report high school graduate entrants as "deficient" in written communication skills.

70.3% of employers report high school graduate entrants as "deficient" in professionalism/work ethic.

69.6% of employer respondents report high school graduate entrants as "deficient" in critical thinking/problem solving.
